Mail ordering canvas work may seem like a good idea,
but there are many pitfalls in the process. Boats are not like cars where
thousands of identical units come off an assembly line. Each one can be
different, and in the case of the C&C 35 MK I there are some major
differences in measurements between different boats. I know this because
the first try at fitting the dodger didn’t even come close. If you are
going to mail order canvas for your boat, the following is a sample of
what you need to send in to the company doing the work for you. The photos
are important to let the canvas makers know exactly how you made your measurements.
